I took the bootlid over to the local paintshop, the nearest they could get to the original (inside of bootlid) was a renault colour. To be honest I was in to minds so the darkened it tad and the result is blingtastic. It's not a million miles from the original but does look pretty modern if you get my drift.

Bonnet badge off was super easy...bonnet badge out haven't tried yet ( still in the box/envelope of bits) Any advice?

I'm told the best way to get the insert out is to heat it all in the oven (gently)!
I need to do all mine, bonnet and wheels so will be interested to hear how you get on.

Re stripe; picked it up from Glen. Tried applying wet on an old panel and even on a damp panel for some reason there wasn't enough surface tension to keep it straight. So ended up going on dry, it wasn't strong enough to adjust with out stretching so it is about 3mm lower than I wanted ( but whats 3mm between friends)
That said I am pleased with the way it looks and I know the dimensions are spot on
BTW I keep calling you Jason, That is your name isn't it? (poss )

| Your car is looking good man. I like the chrome around the wheel arches too, wide ones even better and under by the sills looks good too on the fastbacks, but the guys say it's rust traps.Some 195 or 205 tires will look mean too.... |
