Yes it is don't worry

So did you get the badge insert out using some heat?

And I may well have a go at the stripe too. It looks like it is fairly glossy which is what I want, my last one was a bit too flat.

I can confirm that badge will come out with a bit of heat. If we have any sunny days left, just leave it on top of dash in a parked car, that gets the temp up and it should come out with a little help from a fine blade or even on its own.
Yes, club has stripes in various colours and they are exactly the right dimensions as confirmed by Paul - cheers Paul. Price to members is £25 for a set, well one roll, enough to do both sides with a bit to spare. Cheers. G PS: Good work there Paul,I hope to carry on work on mine (kack-hander that is) but it won't look that good, just want to get it on the road.

Hi Glen,

Quite literally the badge just fell out ( I'm lucky like that)

Re stripe I made a couple of errors but think the car can carry it off, It wont be any prizes but as a daily driver that will turn heads it simply rocks!

Thanks Jan,

I'm really pleased with the "cash strapped" resto, it wont win a concours but does make me and other road users smile.

Talk about bonnet alignment - Most of the series Rapiers have this problem that the bonnet sides are sort of 'kinked' half way up , I think it is due to the bonnet springs that are so heavy . When the bonnet is closed one can press down on the sides and the 'kink' goes away. Have the fastbacks got the same problem ?
I have thought about putting in gussets under the 'rain' rim or maybe telescopic struts and remove the springs but then there are originality issues again .

I've also seen that problem on any rapier,
but the fastback don't have spring , just hinges..
So when you see a rapier fastback with that problem, it's not because the hinges are to strong, but it's possible that it happens on a series...
