WARNING - This post contains ranting!
OK so I admit to not being the most patient of people, but I really do despair at some of the things you see whilst driving. I would like to just vent some frustration about 1 thing in particular though if you would just indulge me for a minute.
Now I work on a large security controlled site, but fortunately I'm one of the lucky ones who can drive on site. What drives me to distraction is that almost every day when I leave on time I have to wait to get away from work due to other road users lack of intelligence.
Below is an aerial shot of the exit from my workplace with some coloured keys for explanation.
So, the yellow arrow is the stationery vehicles queueing due to volume of traffic. The yellow and blue lines are the 2 exit lanes from my site (also used by B&Q customers as the store uses the same exit, another rant for another day about idiot road layout officials!)
So now here's the thing that bugs me....most people will, despite there being 2 lanes queue in the left hand lane (yellow) and then when the queue gets long enough (green line) blocks the exit from work (red line).
So why is it fellow forum users most people prefer to sit in a queue and cause total gridlock rather than make use of the other lane and help ease traffic??
To make matters worse, the junction is controlled by traffic lights and it is not unusual for not 1 single car to move during several cycles of lights??!!
Actually, as I was able to negotiate my way past these imbeciles tonight I suspect some of them are still sat there waiting now over an hour later!!!
OK rant over, thanks for letting me vent

I think its simple really - Only real drivers own and or drive a Sunbeam Rapier - Im assuming that there was a distinct lack of these in the que and hence - Idiots!!!
Hope that helps for a smile at least |

Where abouts in the country are you anyway? It seems that you make good use of the forum and I appreciate your help and input on it.
do you know if theres a way of changing our user name to our actual name, as I now realise that is pretty useless not knowing whos who.
Also are you making it to the NEC next month as ive managed to feature my car there, cant wait |

I live just outside Yeovil, Somerset.
I'm the LAO for South region although with my car being off the road haven't been as active as I should.
Not planning to go to the NEC this year. Went last year but thought I'd skip this year and maybe get mine on the club stand next year?
Yours will look good on the stand and should generate quite a bit of interest being subtly modified.

Thank you, i hope it does well. Still not that confident with major events as its not standard, but seems to go well.
I used to live in Taunton and still call it home, live in cornwall now, but always in the area, what the chances?
Its really good getting to know people in the club, let me know if your going to any local events and ill do my best to join you. |

In my experience, most show goers are happy to see cars in any state, from basket cases to show winners, std or molded.
Hope to attend some shows next year having missed last 4 years so watch this space!
