Was browsing the aronline site and found a page dedicated to the r249 project. The design that Roy Axe put forward to his management to take on the Capri with. Too bad he was turned down.

Is it possible that there is a trace of Delorean in that?

Possibly the other way around as this concept was originally penned in 1970. Can't understand why they ok'd the later 2 door saloon model after turning this coupe version down though. Surely the difference in build cost would have been minimal when you think of the potential sales it could have generated with the right marketing.
