Good Morning
Now, the weather becomes better and makes outings with our cars more fun, I was looking for potential events or meetings to join. Living in Scotland on an Island, I will probably not be able to join any Sat/Sun day events, due to a stupid Ferry schedule. And overnights are usually a bit on the expensive side.
Looking in the Portal I saw just one event for 2014 in Bucks. This is definitively too far away for us and with all the necessary accommodation too expensive. Unfortunately I can not pack the car into an EasyJet plane ... Despite my addiction to Museumtrains.
Are there really not any other gatherings at all? Or are they too local to be mentioned here? I would be interested on anything in Scotland and probably in North England about the height of York.

| Hi, there are quite a lot of shows/gatherings around Scotland during the summer, the next big event is at Moffat in south of Scotland on 29th of June,this is a Rootes event and there is usually a few fastbacks attending including my own. I understand it is to late to enter your car though, cheers Andy. |

Yes, I saw it mentioned here yesterday. A pity I did not know it in time, Moffat would not be out of reach for me. But now, I have other plans for the weekend.
However, what sources do you use to find out where in Scotland shows/gatherings are located? By just using the search engine of my choice (duckduckgo.com - no tracing and spying and recording) I get too much info about a huge lot, but none which I could be interested in.

Have a look at the Scottish Vintage Vehicle Federation handbook on line. Put SVVF into google. Contact the organiser for Moffat now and get on the registration list which comes out in January. It's a popular show.

Hi
The BIGGAR Rally is on the 17th of August
it is well worth going to just outside Lanark
lots of vehicles and a good day out
