Fantastic to see a Fastback being campaigned again. They can be made to be competitive - good on you andyb; it is just a pity Chrysler were completely disinterested in them and did nothing to develop them at all: they were of course pushing the Avenger; but if they'd put some effort into the Rapier, I'm sure it would done well, at least in the early years of their life.
(I'll have a look for that switch and a Holbay rocker cover at the weekend )

A really tough rally on the cars but finished with no problems 27th and 5th in class
managed to set 1 fastest test time and equal 911's mini coopers and an rs1600 on a couple of others
well pleased with the car it never missed a beat over 800 miles

a few photos of the event

Bigt80

No damage on the shakedown rally but nearly parked it in the scenery once lol
I haven't got a switch sorted getting a bit late to find one although
I do have a spare one that fits onto the dash if it totally fails

Got some promised photos to follow

Did you get your switch sorted andyb? I've not commented before , but that car looks great. Hope it didn't get any damage on the rally. Its been an interesting thread to follow and great to see it on the road. Cheers. G

The forum has been a little quiet over the last few days :(

Got a few more jobs sorted this afternoon mounting a second rally timer clock
And making a bracket for a brake light switch off the pedal

Have a problem with the ignition switch it won't fire when cranking until
The pressures off the key then it starts then won't turn off until the key
Is fully turned off !

Got the extinguisher in and the sump guard fitted
real neat job on the guard looks like it was made to fit a rapier

had a problem with the steering column bracket captive nuts that where snapped off had to take the instrument binnacle out to gain access
managed to cut the bolts off and get the bracket welded up at work today
just a job I could have done without, luckily I had some spare bolts
and found some more bits and bobs in the spares boxes
