I picked up this 1975 Fastback last year, and have only just got round to starting the refurb. Loads of rust, as expected, but it should be a fun project... (hopefully)

Strangely, it looks very similar to one I owned in 1980

Hi,

Looks like you've bought back the same car.

Same colour as my first, incidently..

What happened to the old one?

Good to see some activity on the fastbacks...to you both, how are the vinyl tops after all these years and if rough will you be going back with new vinyl. Often vinyl covered roofs got short changed in body prep on many model, I have no experience with this model in vinyl.

Hi Mike, it started to need more attention than I could afford back then, so I had to sell it on, I didn't hear back from the new owner, so I have no idea what happened to it.

This one doesn't look too bad. I'm hoping that it will polish up nicely, and not need replacing, It has a glass sunroof fitted, so that would make things a bit more complicated.
