We've got plenty of secondhand spares of all types, but can't vouch if they're all workers or not. As 1922 says, there are several - at least 3 different types and I'd suggest that you'll need to match the wiring on your loom, rather than try and fit something with different connectors. G.

Rev counters are common to all the Arrow cars (Hunter, Rapier, Sceptre etc).
They can be repaired, or you might be able to find a replacement. You need to know which type - what year was your Rapier built?

Haynes describes Dashboard (by which I assume you mean instrument panel only) procedure reasonably well.

The clips that go on the back can be a bit tricky, if you lay in the footwell and shine a torch up behind the panel you should see the clips - I think there are 4 of these, spring clip type that you have to squeeze and remove. Plus there are screws. Undo choke cables at the carbs, undo wiring harness - these can be a bitch to get apart so do yourself a favour and lubricate it when you reassemble. Don't forget to disconnect the oil pressure feed pipe and plug the end or it may drip oil inside the car. Speedo cables come in two different flavours, one with a knurled metal nut that screws on the back of the speedo and one with a plastic squeezy clip. It's usually just the inner cable at fault, the squared end rounds off and then it just rotates freely. I don't know if the inners are interchangeable but suspect not. Ref Rev counter, again there are different kinds, early one had three connectors, later ones had two (or the other way around, can't remember, it's been a while since I played with a Rapier), Derek (1922) will know - Oi Derek, you're wanted here mate!

Hi, my speedo and rev counter aren't working on my fastback. Any easy way of removing the dash? I have a new speedo cable. Any ideas on the rev counter? Cheers.
