You might find some of that information in the workshop manual.

But for an accurate answer get yourself a cheap ammeter, a battery and a couple of bits of wire. Then you measure how much each component needs - then just add the amps together for each device that will be on the same circuit.

Their £10 multimeter will do the job (see http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/testmeters/meters.php) - it can measure up to 10 amps.
This should be enough as a single 55 watt headlamp is about 4.5 amps.

For example if you wanted a circuit for both high beams - measure the current for one lamp by connecting it to a spare battery. It should be about 4.5 amps, 2 of these 9 amps, a 10 or 15 amp fuse will do.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that.
I've obtained stuff from them already (fuse box and a selection of fuses etc.) but what I'm trying to ascertain is the size of the fuses requested to protect the various circuits.

Try this lot - they have a lot of good stuff in their catalogue (I've got an old one at home).

Hi all,
The electrics of my Series IV are now receiving my attention.I intend to replace the fusebox with a modern blade type fusebox creating more adequately fused circuits,my query is what size fuses to use for horns, wipers, instrument lighting,overdrive/reverse switches on gearbox (combined),I am upgrading the headlights and shall fit fused relays to dip and main beam circuits.
I have looked on the internet and in info I have but cannot find anything of use, suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards
John
