Maybe make the section heading visable to all, but accessable to members only? That way everybody will know its there.

Yes, we have to set you up. We'll get that sorted. We wondered why so few were accessing it. Perhaps there are others who don't realise. Cheers. G.

Just to let you know that paint codes are also available (for Fastbacks) on the Members part of the forum. Thanks to Derek for his hard work posting them here; have not checked; so not sure if there are anymore on the list I produced
My H120 is Tangerine Metallic, but doesn't look like you think it's going to. I like it & with white stripes, but it's an acquired taste!

Ooooooh Thanks for that Derek! Tangerine metallic sounds just the sort of colour I'd like! I'm not in a hurry to buy a fastback.....but if a good one in the right colour was to come along.......
Can anybody put pictures to those colours? It would be nice to build up a library of photos of the colours. We did this on the Rover 75 owners club forums and its a very handy database.

Regards,
Jim Gough

Paint codes from 1972 parts book:
001 Embassy Black
108 Polar White
133 Tangerine (metallic)
134 Pewter (metallic)
135 Oasis Green
136 Tahiti Blue
137 Firebrand Red
138 Safari Beige
139 Baltic Blue
140 Cedar Green (metallic)
141 Silver Mist (metallic)
142 Sunset (metallic)
143 Aztec Gold (metallic)
144 Golden Olive (metallic)
145 Electric Blue (metallic)
146 Mood Indigo
147 Spice
149 Phantom Mist
150 Aquarius
151 Firecracker
152 Sundance (yellow)
153 Limelight
154 Carib Blue

Later there was 156 Wardance (my '73 is this colour which is red or orange depending on who you ask), and I think 163 Violet.

See http://www.sunbeam.org.au/paint/index.html for more codes. But I don't know which were available on Rapiers.

Also interiors colours were (from '72 parts book).
701 - Black
709 - Red
714 - Vellum
715 - Green Opalescent
716 - Pewter Opalescent
717 - Tan Opalescent
718 - Blue Opalescent
720 - Turquoise Opalescent

The '72 parts book covers Hunters & Humber Sceptres too - so it may be that not all these colours were available on Rapiers.

The sales brochure I have (probably for '73 models) shows 11 paint colours and 5 interior colours - no text just a photo. I would put an image here - but I don't think the forum allows attachments.

Back in the country today - I'll send myself a reminder to scan in the relevant pages.
I have a 1972 parts book and old brochure (can't remember the year).

Hi, I 've got some as printed in an old edition of C&T & as also mentioned the workshop manuals used to print them. I'll see if it something that can be added to the site itself, if not will post them on the forum in someway. Cheers. G.

Hi Jim,
I have a parts book at home that has a long list. You might be able to get one from ebay or "speedy spares". Also I have seen sales brochures for sale on ebay that list all the options. I'll be back in the country in a few days I could send you a list if no-one else has by then.

Does anybody know the full range of colours that the fastbacks were available in? I've tried googling the subject, but to no avail.
Jim
