Very nice indeed . I keep thinking about getting a lathe so that I can make stuff like that - but they are flippin expensive.

Nice steering wheel! Looks very good!
I'd want one of those to.
But I'd more like a wooden one (like yours) but without the rivets in vision...
Any ideas?
Cheers

yep 1922 - A lathe is a must have for guys with old cars. One can pick them up at auctions sometimes for a good price.
Thomas - The guy who made my boss took a template off this wheel and is busy making a complete 16" wooden rim wheel (without the rivets) as well. Make pals with a turner and ask him to make you one. Jaguars and MG's have such wheels too, seen them on ebay as well. The boss is a problem for guys with Rootes cars. My original wheel was in bad shape and I cut it up, used a Ford boss inside the original boss outer shell and another 14" wooden rim wheel at first, but is too hard to steer at low speeds.. Was also not safe because I had to rivet the Ford boss into the original shell .
The splines bush is a press fit in the original shell . It was pressed out and used in my new boss.

I know a guy who can make those things on a lathe.
I hope I'll find a nice wheel to my wishes sooner or later.
Thanks.
