Posted - 02 Nov 2012 : 18:30:16 Hi lads. I'm getting a very low oil pressure reading on my Roots 1725. Idle is just above zero. Running its about 20. Is this normal? I,m running 20w/50, should I go more 15w/40. Ideas please. Cheers Sam. |

Posted - 11 Nov 2012 : 20:31:28 Oil pressure relief valve is in the aluminium block that the oil filter screws onto.
It's the large bolt just below the filter, the complete valve can be removed and cleaned.

'68 sunbeam rapier fastback {B341006846 OD/LHO} I like a car that looks normal but really knocks your socks off!!

Posted - 06 Nov 2012 : 13:45:26 20w/50 is the correct stuff. Oil pressure should be up around 50 cold, 30 - 40 when warm.
