Hello everybody, As most of you will probably know, I'm going to use my car (when it gets finished) as a daily driver, so I'd like it to be just that little bit more, but still keep it relatively original.
So trying to upgrade her yet again, I'm looking for an original strut brace like I've seen on some other cars... If someone has one lying around willing to sell it to me. I'm all ears.
I would like to hear some of the pro's and con's... What are your thoughts about it?
Thanks a lot!

Thanks,
If I don't find anything original I'll consider buying something like that...
Good luck with finding the H120!

I've been looking for an original strut brace for twenty years.
I saw a picture of one once - and there is one shown in the 1972 parts book - that's as close as I have ever got to one.

The picture is here http://www.sunbeamrapier.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=425 - Jan from Norway has one. I think were only fitted to export models - I think the "Heavy Duty Sceptre" probably had one from what I remember of the parts book (I can't remember where I left it!). Never say never, someone somewhere might have one, if you ever find two - let me know :-)

The Rapier that had done 59 miles that was advertised on this site a couple of months ago had a 'sister car' which had an o/e strut brace, but not had the opportunity to go back to Notts to save it! |

Hey 1922, I will stay on searching, you never know... and you'll be the first one to know if I found a second one, or maybe we could sort something out to replicate them... If you ever find a center console with the aluminum inlay... Let me know... ;)

Still thinking about a strut brace so I've been playing with the idea of making one myself... - I just wanted to ask you what you think I would have to look out for when making one? - If any of you can give me some detailed picture and some measurements (thickness of bar, plate that fits to strut tops,...
Many thanks in advance
