I can't believe how this year flew past, it's nearly Christmas. Think I must get my grandson to write father christmas a letter and ask him to bring me a hot Holbay engine with earbox from the UK. Wonder if it will fit in his sleigh and if he will ship for free, at the rate shipping is lately ?
Howzit Arrocuda - an earbox is exactly the same as a ifferential, just completely ifferent.With any Rootes engine all drivers & , assengers have to wear earboxes in SA since 1929 because of all the appet noise , earing knocks and iff hums.The tin we hang on the crank pulley to catch all the oil makes a helluva racket too at 3000 revs .Chimneys are hijacking hotspots so he leaves all presents at the borders where the custom guys take what they want first and then we pick up what is left.
