Hi everybody, Iam currently installing a power brake system on my rapier 3a conv.
I need to drill a hole into the inlet manifold.
is there someone on this forum who has done it already and where is the best area to drill and tap in this manifold?
Thank you

Whatever you do, don't drill the manifold without removing it first.
The previous owner of my first Rapier had done that, and the swarf was pulled into the engine and done expensive damage! My present Series V Rapier has the take off drilled about an inch from the cylinder head on number one port. Whether that's important or not, I don't know.

Thank you for your answer.
I am afraid the metal is very thin at the place you mention on the serie 3 manifold is there any additional metal on yours?

My manifold is none standard Rootes. However all of the standard ones seem to have a place pre-ordained where to drill and tap. It's usually a raised area of the manifold showing where the drilling/tapping should be. Sorry I can't be any more help.
