Hello All,

I havent found the right Series 3a yet but I like to plan ahead.

Can anyone tell me what wheel options are avaialble for Series Rapiers taking into account offsets, PCD spacing etc, I think I read somewhere that period Ford wheels fit well?

As some have commented previously a wider wheel gives a nice appearance.

Does anyone know what wheels these are from please?

No problem with forward planning: I have an army mate who says 6 things beginning with 'P' are a good motto, but I won't repeat them here .

All I can confirm is that all Ford wheels of the period will indeed fit as far as I'm aware I think PCD is 108, but don't quote me on that one. I know that Rapier wheels won't fit most of my Audi's that are 100's.

Sure you'll get more helpful replies. G.

Thanks G good to know ford wheels fit, I assume the wheels above are from a Ford.

Yes my army mate used the 6 P's also!

6 P's - it must be an army thing then
Re wheels: I think so, they look a bit like later Alpine Fastback steel one's, but are too dished. I guess something like a plain 5.5/6J Cortina GT or Lotus wheel would give width, but it is going to be 13" & I expect you need 15's. Come to think of it, I know of a set of more modern 15" ones with tyres that the mechanic I use for the Rapier is thinking of selling. I'll take a photo of them when I'm down south later in the week. Cheers. G

I am confirm that Ford PCD of 108 is correct for the Rapier. One of the most popular wheel choices for the 60s/70s period were (amongst others) the famous Cosmic wheels. I happen to have a set of 4 useable wheels with brand new Continental Contac tyres 175/70/13 fitted and balanced. If Wolfy or anyone else if interested they could be for sale £400 collected.
