Hi guys,
Not sure if anyone can help me with this one....
I have pulled the cam out of my holbay engine and have discovered it is not a holbay cam!
The only numbers/letters are on the back (gearbox end) of the cam.
It has the letters KCAVRL1 and the numbers 9093.
I have checked the lift using a vernier caliper and the lift is in excess of .304" (measured at 90 degrees). If I had the equipment I could be more accurate but it is certainly a reasonably high lift cam.
Any ideas what it could be?

Standard 1725 cams are .298 (early) or .295 (later).
Holbay standard H120/GLS cam is .320.

Can't remember what markings they have - I agree with AndyB, sounds like you have a non-original cam shaft.

I remember that Kent Cams did list a cam for the Rootes 1725 - 25 years ago!

Yes, definitely a Kent cam. Specially made I believe, as they did not supply anything 'off the shelf' for the 1725 engine.
