If I am not mistaken... Thes brackets are their so 1 bolt can push on the intake and exhaust manifold at the same time.. With the help of small piece..

Go to this site, http://www.sunbeamalpine.org/index.php?categoryid=89 , and then pick the manual for the series I to IV alpine, the fuel system part... this might better explain what I mean..

Hi all,
I notice in the parts book (Series) that there are brackets/stays at the ends of the inlet manifold, however these are missing on my engine and before I go to trouble of fabricating replacements I wonder if not fitting them has any significant disadvantages.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Regards
John
