Hi G, Thanks for your reply. If you do come across someone who could help that would be great. Time of road for rebuild is no problem, as car will be in for winter now anyway. Graham. |

Hello Graham, Thanks for your posting. Best thing would be to get a s/hand diff, but hard to tell if good until you put it in, so could be a lot of work for nothing. Rebuild probably best bet if you can afford to have car off road, but as you say you need a good reliable specialist at reasonable cost. Not aware of any myself, but can check around, or have a look on the net & see if anyone has any experience of them. Cheers. G. |

Hi Everyone, My back end makes a horrible noise (ooh er missus), and I am told that my back axle needs rebuilding or replacing. I see that "crown pinnions" (whatever they are)etc. and other replacement parts are available from the club and elsewhere. But I am also told that a rebuild is an exacting task. So, can anyone advise me on where I could find a good second hand diff, or have mine rebuilt, or buy a reconditioned diff ?? Thank you very much. Graham, Marlow, Bucks.
