It won't go as quick and might not run as smoothly - but yes.

Yes that is the problem.
Do you know if I can use the std. cam in my engine? How will that work?

The only difference between a Holbay cam and a standard aluminium head cam (295 or 298) is the profile and lift.

I have found the error, it is not a correct camshaft in the engine.
This camshaft must be to a engine wth 1 carburetor. The inlet and exhaust valves on cylinder No. 2 and 3 opens in wrong order.
Does anyone have a Holbay camshaft for sale?

Hi
Now I have tried to start my Holbay replica engine, but there is a problem that I need some help with.
It blows out the exhaust from the carburetor from the cylinder 2 and 3. I have checked the valve clearance, ignition sequence, and compression, this is ok. Cylinder 1 and 4 is ok
Can I have installed a wrong camshaft? it is bought as original Holbay.
It is marked: MC 24002 N, 1981079, and R. Does anyone have any good advice?
Best regards Jan, Norway
