Big thanks to Dave & Martin for having their cars on the stand again this year and I think we did a good job making use of the space due to my car not being finished in time to exhibit (yet again)!

Congrats to Martin who managed to pick up a rosette, Dave and I did have a little sport with him by moving the rosette onto Dave's car but in the end we had to confess our sins!

We made a good job of setting the stand up with some nice posters and period adverts/brochure samples. We also had a short clip of the fastback rapier on a turntable at the 1968 earls court motorshow.

The stand was a big improvement over previous show efforts and whilst not as elaborate as some we all felt the stand looked great.

We will aim to get the same stand again next year with it being a nice spacious corner plot offering plenty of space for vehicles and still allowing visitors to move around the cars.

General attendance at the show was good again over the weekend despite the less than perfect weather, in particular on Sunday when fairly persistent rain and cool temperatures made the outside stalls and visiting cars a "no go" area for all but the most die hard visitors.

Look out for a report in the cut & thrust magazine.

oops that posted before id finished.

Glen it was good to see you too and thanks for helping on the stand on Saturday - you may notice your captured in the 3rd photo down.
Im told that last year was the best year yet, but this year, in my opinion was every bit as good. Although there were showers all weekend - im not sure how but i just about managed to dodge them and even got home just before a downpour.

Now looking forward to the other shows this year

As Dave has said we have just had a good weekend at the Bath and West showground.

It was really good to see some memebers there too - Jason Salmons, Mark Reader and Barry Blake to mention a few.
The highlight for me was being awarded a rosette.

Thanks to Dave for making the stand as good as it was.

Heres some pics that ?i have taken over the weekend.
Enjoy

Hi
Here's a quick review of the first day of the BCCS.
Myself, Jason (with Dad) & Martin set up the stand on Friday afternoon. Then returned on Saturday morning to "man" the stand.
There was lots of interest including a a photo shoot from Classic Car Weekly, which should mean a feature in that publications show review out next Wednesday 25th April.
It was nice to meet Glen Mason & thanks Glen for helping out with the many questions being asked.
It was a shame that Jason's H120 wasn't ready in time to show & we didn't have a series Rapier either, however next year if we can bag the same spot then there is room for up to possibly four cars.
