Hi, Wonder if anyone can help.

This may seem as a silly question to most, but Im still new to Sunbeams ! I have recently finnished an Anglia project, then came accross the beauty that is the Sunbeam Rapier II.

First mission is to sort oil leaks for roadworthy certificate.

Oil straems out from behind the crang pully.
I stripped off the pully, and to my surprise there is no shaft seal!!

I pulled of the timing chain cover, and theres no housing for a shaft seal

My quetsion is what sort of seal or packing is normally used.

I'm not keen to do any wild modifications, as i would like to keep her in origanal form.

any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Stuart
