Christian's cylinder block is the one which prompted the thread about replacing cast iron heads with alloy heads just by swapping the camshaft. With the help of forum member "1922" we eventually decided that some, if not all, Series II Rapier blocks won't take an alloy head without modifications to at least two of the waterways.
Welcome to the forum, Christian.

Hello, I am a french owner of an Alpine serie II. Now, my Alpine has a block-cylinder n° A3802926 LHX produced the 28-03-1958. So, it comes from a Rapier 2. Originaly, it was equiped with an iron head-cylinder.
As I just bought an alpine serie 2 block-cylinders (which lot of works), I shall propose the Rapier 2 block-cylinders (only the block), when the Alpine block will be ready.
If somebody is interesting and not in hurry, please contact me.
