Ive own about 12 classic cars and most are road worthy so it keeps me busy.Ive also started reproducing some body panels for hillman avengers, lotus sunbeams, lancia delta evo and many more. Alpine West Mids have various repair sections for these - maybe you could make up some wings out of various panels. I don't like your chances of finding and steel wings

I here what your saying regards wings, but I manage to find a nos front panel so im sure there are some wings out there somewhere
Well you never know, you might get lucky.
I managed to pick up a pair last year in a job lot (including a car) but they are the only ones I have ever seen for sale and that is over the last 20 years!
I hope you do find some, the resto deserves some!

Yes, I know what you're saying & I'd have saved them all if I could have done over the years. Fantastic work there, really enjoying the thread and you taking time out to do the pics and post them .Keep it going! |

Its special alright its made it back from the dead twice! Accept this time it wont need doing again as will only have light use I no what your saying about something a little more solid, and yes i agree but there all the same when you start cutting bits off here and there, the end of the day they were rusty from new! At least this way I no every inch is solid and done right. Its also keeping another one alive that would have been scrapped by many people.
Heres an update:
Hillman Avenger MK1 GT, Commer PB Pick-Up x2, Commer PB Panel Van, Dodge spaceavan Auto sleeper, Triumph Stag MK1, Chevette HS x2, Lancia Delta Integrale, Fiat Mk1 Uno Turbo, Here are some of my previous restos: http://www.turbocollective.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=1643&sid=e955c8d8a55dcf5aac9b7e2509ead07c http://66.129.69.181/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4594 http://66.129.69.181/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4966&whichpage=1 Commer td conversion http://66.129.69.181/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5275 |

Was it a special one? It's a great job being done, but I have to say I would have got something more solid to start with. Still with talent like that, anything is possible! Keep up the good work Jon. |
