Cool stuff ! I can recommend twin sidies for the 1725 engines, they give a big improvement on power , even with the standard cam, and are not heavy on fuel either.Sounds mean too...The guys with engines that are not slanted like in the series Rapiers must cut and weld the inlet manifold to level the carbs out , but mine worked ok even at an angle before I fitted the modified manifold.
