As Thomas says - it's a simple job with the engine out.
If you have a car with a steering lock you will have to drill out the bolts that hold it to the steering column (this is a bit of a pain) - but otherwise it's just the steering wheel, cowl & stalks, upper bracket (to dash), lower steady bracket (to pedal box), ball joint connection to the steering link and the three bolts holding the box to the body.

I didn't have much trouble with removing mine... you'll probably need a 1 inch socket for the steering wheel otherwise... NO problems for me...

While you're doing that you can have a look at all the steering joints?

I like a car that looks normal but really knocks your socks off!!

In order to do a proper job of spraying the engine bay, ideally the steering box would be out of the way.

I've decided to go for it and remove the column + box, does anyone have any tips or advice before I start?

Or if you know its a pig of a job then please say now
