Holbay used do a 122bhp 1725 engine - it was called "rally" (I guess it was the same spec as the engine in the Hillman Hunter that won the London-Sydney rally).
This done with head modifications and a higher lift cam only.

Hi everybody,

as some of you might all ready know I was thinking about having an engine made by Chris Draycott. I'm still thinking of this and went to talk to him about 3 weeks ago.

I was actually impressed in what he said he could do with a standard engine.
He could give it easily 125 BHP WITHOUT boring it out to 1800 or more... Just by cleaning up the intake/outlet - ports and giving it WEBERs.

BUT now I would like to talk to someone who has experience with one of his engines.
Preferably as a daily driver, as that is what I would use it for. But any information will be good...
