Hi Glen,
Quite literally the badge just fell out ( I'm lucky like that)
Re stripe I made a couple of errors but think the car can carry it off, It wont be any prizes but as a daily driver that will turn heads it simply rocks!

I can confirm that badge will come out with a bit of heat. If we have any sunny days left, just leave it on top of dash in a parked car, that gets the temp up and it should come out with a little help from a fine blade or even on its own. Yes, club has stripes in various colours and they are exactly the right dimensions as confirmed by Paul - cheers Paul. Price to members is £25 for a set, well one roll, enough to do both sides with a bit to spare. Cheers. G PS: Good work there Paul,I hope to carry on work on mine (kack-hander that is) but it won't look that good, just want to get it on the road. |

Yes it is don't worry
So did you get the badge insert out using some heat?
And I may well have a go at the stripe too. It looks like it is fairly glossy which is what I want, my last one was a bit too flat.

Your car is looking good man. I like the chrome around the wheel arches too, wide ones even better and under by the sills looks good too on the fastbacks, but the guys say it's rust traps. Some 195 or 205 tires will look mean too.... |

Schhh Jason ( H&S are everywhere lol)
Re stripe; picked it up from Glen. Tried applying wet on an old panel and even on a damp panel for some reason there wasn't enough surface tension to keep it straight. So ended up going on dry, it wasn't strong enough to adjust with out stretching so it is about 3mm lower than I wanted ( but whats 3mm between friends)
That said I am pleased with the way it looks and I know the dimensions are spot on

I'm told the best way to get the insert out is to heat it all in the oven (gently)!
I need to do all mine, bonnet and wheels so will be interested to hear how you get on.

Looking good Paul, I reckon an H120 grille would go well with that colour?
How difficult is it to get the bonnet badge out?

I took the bootlid over to the local paintshop, the nearest they could get to the original (inside of bootlid) was a renault colour. To be honest I was in to minds so the darkened it tad and the result is blingtastic. It's not a million miles from the original but does look pretty modern if you get my drift.
