Ha Ha ! It's like when it is my turn to make coffee the sugar is finished , and the kettle and the coffee tin is empty. I was in a queue amongst many other old cars at a matric farewel , camaras flashing and oohs ! and ahs ! and Sunbeams don't like slow long queues, it got a bit hot and I switched it off, and ..ugh..huh...huh....huh...it does not crank easy when it's hot.
I know what you mean David, Mine used to have a similar effect before it came off the road. They say green cars are unlucky, maybe there is some truth in that? I think i have mentioned before that the only plus point with having your car off the road for 4 years is that you only miss a few good driving days!!
If there is a foreign government or perhaps city or county council which needs rain I invite you to hire my 1975 Sunbeam Rainier, I can give a 100% stonewall guarantee that if I bring this car to your area it will pour down!. I can provide testimonies from local ladies who check with me before hanging their expensive delicate lingerie or from children in a nearby school who attempt to bribe me to leave it out of the garage so that they can avoid cross country running. The Teesside Yesteryear Motor Club have blacklisted me from their event’s so I don’t turn up and ruin the day and if I open the garage doors hundreds of (dickie!) birds turn up anticipating bathing in the puddles which will soon appear, you can contact me through the SROC. Best Regards
