Hi Terry, Another ex employee (Only I was while it was Peugeot in charge at Ryton.) I have a 66 mk1 Hunter (320th off the line) and a 72 Rapier Fastback as the Hunter is now back in the garage (last did it through about 30 years ago when I first got it) The prices we see on the various facebook pages make them seem quite reasonable compared to here in the UK. Check out the following.

The internet is truly global and you will see cars from all over on the above.

Sometimes I think laterally, but then I have to get up!

Thanks for the welcome. The Rootes cars are quite expensive over here, so I will be sourcing the car in the UK. Also I don’t think there are any H120’s or Hunter Gls’s here which is what I would like. I will hopefully get it through Paul Marshall as he seems to have a few at times.

Hi Terry
Welcome and I expect any Rootes cars still extant down there may be less worried by tin worm than here???

Personally I think it's a shame Rootes didn't tap into the colonial 'ute' market like a few others did. A 'series' Rapier pick up would be something to behold

Hi, I’m Terry, I live in perth Australia. I worked at Rootes of Maidstone in the 70’s,
I did my apprenticeship there and worked on all these cars on here at some time or other.
I owned a 1974 Imp super, and a 1974 Hunter GL, which I wish I still owned now.
I’m hoping to Aquire an Arrows car in the near future, to restore in my retirement, in a couple of years .
Regards Terry
