Terry,
Send a message to Glen Mason (bigt80). He had a batch of fastback leaf springs remanufactured a few years ago and they were good, so probably worth asking him who he used.
Hope that helps.

Hello Sunbeams, The rear springs on my Series 3 Rapier are so flat (with the car unladen), they are verging on the concave. And I note that someone has fitted homemade/aftermarket rear shackle plates, that are not standard. I suspect they are a little longer and intended to overcome a saggy bottom.
Having Googled for replacement springs, several names come up (Owen, James etc.). ALL of them claim to have the biggest library of Spring specifications and the ability to make the best replacement springs to original specification.
As an aside, Alpines seem to be quite well catered for, but Rapiers not as much.
Does anyone have a positive experience to share from a particular supplier? Are they remade with the ability (dimples) to fit the thrust buttons?
Any useful spring information gladly received.
Thank you. |
