Yes, mine has the later Chrysler ID plate. Yours would be much smaller.

Thanks JPSH120.

Nice engine bay!

Your VIN plate suggests you have a later car.

I don't remember ever seeing one on my 1968 model.

Mind, it's been stripped and repainted twice.

Mike

HR = Holbay Rapier

The VIN plate is the larger one on the right (I think it should technically be on the left) and then you have the smaller ID tag that you can see on the left hand side.

Should be just above the chassis plate, or sometimes on the other side of the same slam panel. Should be HRTR on yours. Cheers. G

Hello Sunbeams.
Filling in this years membership renewal caused me to have a good look at my Body Number Plate on the bonnet slam panel of my Series 3.
It's almost unreadable because of paint, and the area immediately around it was clearly not prepared (for paint) to the same standard as the surrounding panel.
Question:
Was the Body Number Plate bare metal or body colour when it left the factory?

In order to avoid this post immediately dating, [insert appropriate seasonal greeting].

Thank you.
