the price is due to low level (one or two) production, so a lot of money is the travel and dicking around to make it worth it, not the die hard £x for a silencer and £x for two metres of 42mm steel pipe bent here and there 3 times. if its cheap cheap its just not worth the bother ! , and if the angle alters by a few degrees people moan like fxxx so a jig has to be made etc to get it close when you make one to post out rather than you take your car and the guy making it tailor makes it to the vehicle. you can make it cheap if you can invest the money and make 20 sets, but id have to sit on 3/4k for a few years before i got the cash back!!!!!
wow...bit surprised to see the cost of a small tube exhaust. What is the labor rate over there? Surely the material is not that over the top. Just inquiring...
i can get one made, will be in region of 300 mild steel, more for stainless but made up with pipes and flared ends on to the baffles where appropriate so can be joined with std clamps
Hi, does anyone know where i can get an exhaust system for my 74 fastback?. I need centre and rear boxes but none of the usual suppliers do them anymore. Cheers
