Looks really good especially with the cream interior. Is the same exterior colour as my project car was originally, only difference being mine had a matching green interior. Not nice.... is black now purely because it's the easiest colour to get your hands on.
Excellent!

Hi Dave, we are in the Mendip hall as normal, stand M12. A bit on the small side but hopefully we have enough room, you seem to have bagged a good spot!
David Angel is bringing one of his series cars again this year to accompany Glens left hander and, who knows, maybe even an H120
Look forward to seeing you there.

Fully sorted then Jason: you couldn't wait to get that bonnet open Not wishing to hijack your thread, but I flew the flag yesterday at the local 'Lions' show. I needed a shake-down as not used it for a few weeks & got Shepton next wk end. Also took one of the Audi's along. G.

Thanks Dave. I'm not bringing it to Shepton as I need to get some paintwork done before it is truly finished.

I must have had enough fingers crossed as BJU got through the MOT today with no problems. A very slight leak from the rear flexi brake hose was the only thing picked up which was cured with an extra tweak of a spanner.
Received some compliments from people visiting the garage which was nice;

Finished the bonnet over the weekend, not perfect but a huge improvement. It needed a lot of cleaning up as the old contact adhesive had eaten into the panel in several areas. I've used some rust proofer prior to priming, flatting, colour coats, more flatting, then lacquer;

Link works fine..... is looking the dogs danglies under that bonnet, but I suspect it sounds a lot better in real life than it does on this laptop.

I've not made much progress in recent weeks for various reasons but the good weather over the weekend gave me the chance to make a start cleaning up the underside of the bonnet. I've removed the old sound deadening which was tatty and plan to paint the underside rather than replace the mat. This is what I'm starting with;
MOT is booked for 6th June () then I just need to get the final bit of external paintwork done, that is booked for the end of June.
Seeing the car out in the sunshine was a good reminder of where this car belongs!!;
