Wish I had your talent and patience, your car is coming right along and will a one of…..when it's done. Just had mine in to a guy locally who specializes in Morris' and has about 50 of them as mine suddenly became very hard starting and rough running. In addition to restoring Morris' he has a full time auto shop. Turned out to be a broken distributer and is now running better than ever. Rain forecast for the next couple days so it's back undercover and I'm in my Subaru…………Pete L.
As it happens I'm customising a Rapier in the style of the '67 Barracuda at the moment. Over here they ran the same model from '67 to '76 with only minor interior upgrades. They didn't even attempt an exterior 'facelift' which was most unusual cos everyone was at it in the 70's. Some of them were even giving the car a new name to go with the facelift in a desperate attempt to boost sales. (BL Marina/Ital for example).
My car is an attempt at what a later model Rapier might have looked like if they had invested in the model. I could be wrong but I think Chrysler had lost interest in it as they had moved on from the original concept in the US to the Cuda which was a built on a different floor pan and had little if anything in common with the original Valiant model.
The car has progressed since my last post which was replacing the seats. The boot lid top is now done and the recessed lower fascia panel for the reversing lights is finished but still needs the reversing lights fitting. I've also done some minor'facelifting' around the front panel but not put any pics up yet.

Thanks Tim, It really is fully restored and runs great. Have not had to do anything although at some point the front seats will need to be restuffed and dyed again as the wear is starting to show. Just enjoy driving it and yesterday was told by someone in the Hardware store what a nice looking Barracuda it was………Pete L.
Looks in excellent condition in the pics on the Hemmings site. Not often you find one as good as that. There are a couple of North American GT owners that post on here occasionally so it's worth sticking around, even though it's quiet on here at the moment.
I posted some pics on here of Alpine GT's that were for sale in the US last year. Mostly resto cars IIRC.
