Did the last 50 miles of my journey home on the back of an RAC truck:

Thanks to this bearing (what's left of it):

That comes from here - the belt tensioner:

It ran dry, got hot and melted the pully - leaving this:

This left me with no alternator, no water pump and no power steering.
Fortunately there was a pub nearby

Yes, thanks for those chazr. I've got a few low quality ones, but haven't downloaded them yet.
1922:sorry to see the mess on 'the beast', but no other damage I trust?

No further damage - not even to my wallet. It only cost £20 for a new tensioner and £20 for a new belt.

Hi Andy,

Been very quite indeed to my regrets...
Wanted to come but didn't get permissions from my parents as I just have my drivers license for 2 months now and they said I could drive on the left side of the road yet, not alone at least...
+ the fact I've been working all august..
BUT if You'd be organizing something next year I'd be there now matter what!!!
Hopefully in my own car but progress is too slow for my wanting... But we'll see how far we get by next year and otherwise I'll take my grand dad's white fastback!

I WILL BE THERE NEXT YEAR!!!!

maybe next year there will be more cars as there are a few series & fastbacks being restored at the moment

jabe 1807 and fastback Thomas have been quiet of late maybe they could be tempted to attend ;)

sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand

I like a car that looks normal but really knocks your socks off!!
