Just been down to Yeovilton to watch the Vulcan come in for tomorrow's airday. A field full of people just to watch it land - impressive!

Cool ! Thanks.
Reminds me of when we used to sit in the trees beyond the fence of Virginia airport in Durban and watch the airshow. The jets used to turn right by our position and blast us with the turbine thrusts.
Jannie.

Fantastic machine. It flew over the office to land at Norwich airport a few months back - it was so loud we couldn't hear anybody on the phone!

Nice photos; thanks! I saw it at Farnborough in the 80's when they used to fly directly overhead. Concorde there too with Brian Trubshawe doing his last ever flight & he didn't hold back, but it could not match the spine-tingling display & sheer 'chest-vibrating' show put on by the Vulcan: awsome indeed.

It certainly is a noisy beast.

Funny story involving the Vulcan in the early 90's. I was at flambards in cornwall and a Vulcan was practising at culdrose nearby, full reheat going vertical. This poor little lad in the loo got a bit frightened by the noise and came running out with his shorts round his ankles!
