hi all ive an alpine and h120 both are brown do i keep with originality or dare i change colour, where do i stand what advise can you give . Do we have a list of original colours regards ian
Depends what you want at the end of the day. Originality would count if you were going for a concours car but not so if you are just doing it for your own enjoyment.
I have a brochure with colour swatches in that I should be able to get on here.
Don't think I've seen a brown H120, have you got any photos on here?

Ian i assume you mean dark bronze metallic for the colours of your cars. If so i would keep them original however if they are a sort of turd brown then i might consider a change
Any chance you could get some pics up of your cars?
Thankyou for replies will try and load pics at weekend as I am working away and only have blackberry. The alpine looks a ****** ! Brown butpaint very faded needs cills and floor work not been on road for many years wings not bad inner wing still got a thick coating of waxoil dash gone but got a good spare. The h120 was bought 3 years ago from a club member More into series cars it is khy 17l poorish body steering box needs replacing and interior needs work time is the problem . Regards ian
My two-penneth: if you've got a really good original car with good history, then regardless of your preference for another colour I'd keep it the same. It will affect re-sale value too. However, if the car needs major work then why not change colour to something you like or suits car. I'd try and keep to a Rootes/Chrysler colour myself, but others have gone for a modern colour with success.
KHY 17L;I have seen around in the past. It is the dark brown - slightly metallic - if I recall correctly. Some colours here:-
