Hi everybody. My name is Mark Reader and i am the Fastback Registrar. Having been a member of the SROC since 1985 i guess i had better get with the program which is why i have joined the forum (plus it's 'GOOD TO TALK'). Currently i own NAD 77F which is the earliest surviving fastback that we know of..EH GLEN? The chassis number is 209 which means she is very early. She has a couple of features which i (and Glen) have never seen on any other fastback. My association with the Rapier fastback goes back to my childhood. My dad had five all told. I have almost finished writing an article for the mag which will tell all. I have been reading some of the topics and they are very interesting. I will try and post a photo of the old girl a.s.a.p. Cheers all

Welcome to the forum
What's the build date of your car - could it be a '67?

Hi 1922. Thanks for the welcome. She was registered on 16-01-1968. From the records that i share with Glen chassis no 708 was built w/c 9-12-67 so i would hazard mine was probably early October, that is the closest dates we have. Hi Martin, good to be live at last. When you next pop round you will have to show me how to put on a pic if i haven't managed it. Cheers dudes

Hi Mark..... You can't come on here making all manner of crazy claims WITHOUT posting pics to prove it!! Also would be interesting to know what these mystery features are.... again pics would be of interest.

It's been hidden away for too long(mind you not as long as Glen's ) Hope all is well with you. Thanks for the photo advice, did have a quick look but still seemed a tad confusing. I will keep trying. Cheers for now dude

Thanks Martin, you are a star.

OK so the phantom NAD is real. She is fitted with sundym glass (except the windscreen and quarterlights 1. because i didn't have a windscreen at the time and 2. because the designers altered the quarterlight mounting holes but i do have the sundym q/lights so may fit them on a rainy day or a SNOWY one
