I am using a ford English axle with a hybrid propshaft

try gartrac for springs they had a spring chart on their website but its changed this week! http://www.gartrac.com/index.html
they had mine made as they where not in stock ordered Thursday arrived Tuesday the guys are really helpful

new springs are £27.00 each not worth getting unknown rated s/h ones off ebay imo

£27 is a good price Luke.... is not much more than I paid for new old stock ones. (£20 each)

its 1725 on webers and a 4 branch exhaust

I will be using it for classic rallys it has full cage with diagonal, door bars bucket seats and harnesses skidded exhaust and a hydraulic handbrake in the centre of the car mk 2 escort bilstein rear shockers gaz fronts green stuff front pads on ebc discs poly bushed front end
fuel and brake lines run inside and a sumpgaurd (yet to be made)

if it shows promise but lacks power I will treat it to a 130 bhp coltec engine

to think I nearly sold it a few months ago its certainly gone too far to sell it now !

I'm looking forward to getting some pics of it on your way to Preston on Saturday morning. Probably the closest it will get to here, so there's no selling out now Andy.

Also if you want to up the power output of your engine to 130hp it would be a lot less expensive to have your camshaft reground to E128 spec' and have your carbs retuned.

As standard they produce 88bhp which is not bad for a 1725cc 8v engine. As a comparison the Cortina's 1600 engine that was around at the same time produced 69bhp in the standard car and 88bhp in the GT.

Wow, nice Andy, didn't know your car was this well equipped in the rear!! ;)

Was looking at the Gartrac chart, but can't really see which ones I 'd have to choose to get it lowered and stiffened up a bit...
Could you give me an idea, by comparing them with yours?

I would say std mk2 rs2000 springs would suit a std road car, lower but not to stiff coupled with the struts refurbed
The measurement from wheel arch to floor was 23 inches

The rear is easy I will be having a play with lowering blocks as I have several sizes so will be able to give you some measurements soon
