Hello everybody,
My granddad's fastback has got her doors done (some rust on the bottom)
but now we were reasembling the doors, but we found out that the metal rod that fits into the hinge, broke of on the bottom... So I went to have a look on my doors and I found out that mine were exactly the same!
So, now my question, does anybody have hinges I could buy? Or know where I can buy them?

we have just received two drivers side (LH) from speedy spares.
We welded the original from my grand dads car.
which is still ok, but I still need one for my RH side door.
So if you find one by accident, which is probably unlikely because that's your drivers side... but if you do I would like to buy it...

Gotcha - the springy bit.
Had a few of those break too, and the wheel it rests on, and the pin that holds the wheel.
It's usually the drivers door ones that break, of course this is the other side for you so there should be a few in the UK.
Post again it if breaks I might have one somewhere!

That's the stay, not the hinge.

My Alpine won't float! I need one which does!!

WOW, sorry to hear that,
but I'm afraid you are all getting me wrong...
I didn't mean the hinge pins, but the smaller metal rod that makes sure the door stays open when she's opened...
If you now know what I mean...
I might post a picture lather on.

The hinge pins are too small for such a long heavy door.

Replacing the door hinges on my first Rapier was a regular job. I think I must have done it five or six times. I used up all the driver's door hinges from the local car breaker!

Next time I have the same trouble I think I might find and engineering place and get them to drill out the pins and fit much bigger ones.

Still.. If anyone has them I would really need a good LH one, because mine or gone to...

We welded it today, fitted it back in, put both the doors back in, and hasn't broken yet...
Will post pictures, when she's back out and cleaned up..

they sure can be replaced, but if I could find hinges that would be easier for now.
As a last resort I would try to make some new ones.

If you're talking about the hinge pin, it's not uncommon and they can be replaced.
