have been thinking of getting a fast back for some time now and would like to know if there is any main points to look out for when buying one? also my dad had one when i was a child, he brought it when it was 2 years old. it was a sliver fast back with black interior the reg was OCE 956M. he sold it in 1987 for £114. would be nice to know if it is still about if anybody knows? thanks alex |

DVLA vehicle enquiry says it hasn't been taxed since February 1989.
Doesn't sound hopeful - but it isn't showing as scrapped so it might be sitting in a barn somewhere.
Main points - is typical 70's car rot in floor, A posts, sills, rear wheel arches, rear lower panel, front lower panel, front wings (front top corner and just in front of the doors).
Mechanicals are simple, strong, not much trouble and easily fixed.
