Hi Guys,

I am a 26 year old who likes basically all vehicles and more like specific rare vehicles and also commercial vehicles. I come for the Island of Malta, which maybe is the largest UK scrapyard :).

I currently own the following vehicles,

1997 - Peugeot Partner ( by now you all know what I use this for )
1998 - Peugeot 306
1992 - Peugeot 309 1.9 GTI ( only one on our island )
1985 - Peugeot 205 1.6 GTI
1967 - Bedford J6 Tipper truck ( which I hope to restore )
Unknown year - 2x Sunbeam Fastback rapiers

I am new and know quite nothing about sunbeams. It all started a couple of months ago when I got to a friend who was selling some Peugeot parts ( now you think you all know why I am buying Peugeot parts ,)and he showed me this what called Sunbeam Rapier which he was going to cut up and use a sofa in his garage. I ended up falling for this car and buying it in time before chopping it.

After some searches on the internet my interest in this car grew even bigger as this has most of all quite a wonderful shape and interior.

Came across this forum and I grew fonder that I would find help people like you on here. In a couple of weeks I will collect my second Sunbeam which has sat in a field for over 20 years but surely enough has some salvagable parts for the other one such as headlamp pods, centre console etc.

To give a small background of the two rapiers I bought

Rapier 1 - Which is already in my posession sat in a basement garage full of humidity and from what is visible is a complete shell including 'great interiour' missing front end headlamp pods and is fitted with a Fiat engine

Rapier 2 - which will be at my garage in the following weeks has sat in an open field for just over 20 years, but luckily enough I have managed to notice quite some parts on it that I surely need on the other which is still more solid like the headlamp pods, front wing, and centre console, and unfortunately has a Diesel BMC engine fitted.

One other thing me and a couple of other guys are currently working on is to construct a commercial vehicle museum in our country and with around 60 vehicles I think this is a head start, but obviously our vehicles range from a working 1984 Bedford TK Fire truck to a Chopped up chassy and ruined Thornycroft DP1 Crash tender. If any of you would like to leave feedback he is more than welcome to visit our website on www.maltahistoricvehicles.com, or our more updated facebook page http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=192751874062,
Also you can send us your feedback directly to info@maltahistoricvehicles.com and/or feedback on facebook.

As regarding rapiers my personal email address is justin.vella@onvol.net ( as I am certinaly going to need loads of help for this build )

Think this is more than enough for my first post, attached If I manage are some pictures of the first Rapier.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Well done for saving the rapiers, most people wouldn't bother, you obviously have more sense!

Don't think you were far off getting the pictures right, check forum help section. I'll add this one for you;
