Back when I was a student I owned a 1958 series2 Rapier in power blue and navy 2 tone. I become known as UGGY. At the time it was just a well loved old car, not yet a classic. That was 1978 and all I could afford! We had many adventures and I finally sold it around 1984 to a chap in Newbury who was going to fully restore it.

Now retired I am hoping to find out where she is. I know it was sold on in 2017. Looking at the pictures it looked pretty much unchanged since I sold it 30 + years previously. I guess Newbury guy never got around to the resto. According to DVLA it is still registered and currently SORN.

So if you are the current owner, I would love to get in touch.

All the best Pete

P Cornforth
