Now I have something to report, thought I'd best introduce the car and myself. I bought 846 FXH from a man who bought it to break for spares. He fortunately reasoned that the car was too good to break and decided to move it on. Engine seized, no clutch, rotten sills, so a good starting point . Home, under cover to dry out, head off, warm pistons, soak in diesel and hey presto, after a few days gentle coaxing, she was turing over on the starting handle. Bores as clean as can be, so the 46,000 miles may be genuine. New headset via ebay for £5.75, and back together after lapping in the valves. 125 psi across all 4 pots. Progress. New plugs, points, coil, condenser, clean out carbs, oil and filter too and I can report a runner. Stripped the clutch hydraulics yesterday and found the slave to be stuck solid holding the clutch just in the 'off' position. With the slave gone the clutch is 'good'. So I can happily report another 3a saved from an unpleasant fate. I will report again when I have her moving under her own power. Couldn't upload a photograph, but FXH is dark blue with a white roof and flash, a little shabby but has gone from worthy of saving to saved.

Sounds good, nice to hear of another one being saved. Easiest way to upload photo's is to create a photobucket accout (or similar) then upload your photo's to that. Each one has an IMG code that you copy into the post.
