Hi to all... Just a quick, initial note.. Never buy anything without seeing it first hand. I've re-purchased my old Fastback (RFX98K) from Southern Ireland, and the guy who is about to bravely restore her, said, seriously, '' She is so unroadwothy, I wouldn't have driven her onto the Ferry, let alone the 400 miles home to Cornwall''. How we made it back home to Bude in one piece, is beyond me! Turning out to be a very, very expensive resto On another note, does anyone here know the whereabouts an H120 i once owned, WRD112M? Not noticed anything on the DVLA website except a 'tax due' date.. Puzzling :-)

Hi Mark,
Well, it's a small world- last Thurs was driving thru Stratton on way to Bude for day out to celebrate wedding anniversary! Would have been in Phoebe if it hadn't been soggy in Pensilva when we left. Like the idea of a meet- how long will it be before you're on the road- months or years- and what about Mike?? JPSH120 has an interesting idea, but left out Devon!! Only just back on the road myself, and still a few things to do, but managed to make it to Powderham.

I think Mike is just trying to get his car to run! He's had a lot of problems over the last couple of years and hopefully has traced it to the tank lining clogging the fuel lines.

Whatever you boys arrange, it would be worth co-ordinating with Malcolm (your LAO) as it could be that we set up a regular get together between the Somerset/Dorset/Cornwall massive!!

Hello David,, Yes, you did see right, haha!.. I live in Bude, well, Stratton actually.. Most people have never heard of Stratton, so 'Bude' is the best alternative..
I've seen your H120 and the first time I noticed it in the forum I had to look twice. I thought it was old H120 ( WDR 112M ). Same colour too.. But alas, No, it wasn't..
Of the chap in Callington, if the car is a War Dance Red H120, I know him very well.. I short little chap, hahaha!. I believe you spoke to him just a couple of weeks ago..
And a pint would go down very well, although I'm a Cider junkie. We, Mike and I, were only discussing you and your H120 the other day so yes, w'll have to get in touch..
My Rapier is undergoing an extensive and 'expensive' resto for a few months but I'm not exactly sure what Mike is having done to his..
Catch up with you soon.. Take Care, Mark

Hi Pinecone56,
Did I read you right that you live in Kernow?? And more particularly Bude? If you do then there's at least 3 of us- there's a chap restoring an H120 in Callington, and I've got one in Pensilva (see my New H120 owner/member well sort of... entry). I think we should meet up at some point, maybe over a pint of Doom Bar or something??
All the best,
David

Yes Big, it was Carribean Blue.. Sadly, when I sold her, I didn't have my own ebay account so asked a friend. Unfortunately, he deleted his account, so no possibility of finding the buyers username

Well Guys.. RFX98K as she was, is now in the restorers unit.. As of now, no recent pictures but hopefully, next week ( Holiday ) I'll take a few and upload them on to here..

Sounds like electricnick's Caribbean Blue one. We were only talking about that one at Powderham: seems to have disappeared from the scene since you sold it.
Good luck with RFX!

Thanks for the sticky... Will try at the weekend as I'm back to work tonight... I bought WDR112M from a gentleman of the name 'Nick', (SROC Member), his surname I've forgotten, in Banbury about 7years ago,, Sold her, probably 8months later, only having rebuilt from the bulkhead forward... Roll on this weekend or sooner.. ZV85716's (RFX98K) D-DAY!

You can find out how to upload pics to the forum from your PC by reading the sticky here....

Someone might recognise the registration number when they read your thread, so is still all to play for yet. Is probably still a long shot but it might have been registered with the club by a previous owner, in which case you might get a lead on it. How long is it since you sold it?

Thanks 'Arrocuda',,, RFX or as she is as of this moment, 'ZV85716', is being collected on Sunday 21st July,, I do have some photo's of the car's condition and none factory fitment 'fresh air' vents but not sure how to upload them onto the forum.. HELP!!,, please,, haha!

As for WDR, I 'think' she went to Southampton/Portsmouth area but the guy who came to collect her, drove a LWB Land-Rover with the markings of 'Liskeard Foresty' written on the side. Strange!,, haha!

Welcome to the forum. That old fastback must have been a good friend to motivate you to recover it from so far away. Usually when you get a 'tax due' date it means one of two possibilities. Either the car has been stored away somewhere and not been put on a SORN or..... the car was scrapped without the owner or the dismantler informing the DVLA that the vehicle has been disposed of.

So it could still be out there in theory, but short of finding out who the last owner was, it's almost impossible to know for sure.

Pics of the car you are restoring are a mandatory requirement upon new forumites! So get posting!
