Posted - 07 Oct 2012 : 11:10:56 Hi, I take it you mean the one supporting the backlight? As the parts book likes to call it anyway: any ones from a 'scrapper' are likely to as bad, so I had one carefully made up for mine by a professional welder. It was a relief when the screen went back in OK! Best of luck if you're having to refurbish this part, it was too specialised for me to tackle. Cheers. G. |

Posted - 13 Jul 2012 : 22:52:32 Yes, it looks fairly decent & offer of a check underneath means they should be confident it is sound and not too much welding. No trace of it in club records, so sort of confirms it's 'barn-find' status. Old Hampshire car & certainly worth saving.....and I would if I could! |
