All i can say is this h120 is beyond poorly its dead and most things on it are un useable and fit for only the bin. The pics make this look so much better than it is. Who ever said they would pay £200 for the boot lid must be mad its totally rotten all the way along the bottom and the inner frame is none exsistant. The whole car on every panel is riddled with damp rot

Looks like no one wants a rusty rapier did the full auction and no one hit the buy it now button
Shame i wanted to give this a good home for a bit less than the asking but looks like the seller is not playing ball so it may be the one that got away

It's quite a long time since I bought any second hand bits - the last time I bought an axle it cost me twenty quid, same for a gearbox with overdrive, can you still get stuff for this money or is it getting as expensive as Big Kev?

This is really what I was saying earlier. Over the past 12 years I've had 4 A series Manta and 1 B series, and over that time the parts have probably trebled in price, with some rarer panels like front and rear valences going for crazy prices. 'Dr Manta' in Germany still supplies some new panels but they are very expensive. I think the shake down period of parts for these kind of cars is almost over and it won't be long before 'parts cars' on ebay are rare occurences.

Let's face it most all the good ones have been saved and what's left most likely scrapped. Is certainly getting to the stage where a car in decent condition is better value than a rust ridden one.

It has the correct wheels, bootlid, pistons - but these are easy to swap. More convincingly it has an oil temperature gauge instead of an ammeter. I think it probably is an H120.

Someone has raised a good question on ebay as to if this is a real H120 or not as its not got any of it badges anywhere even on the glovebox lid! Is this something the club could check on by the reg number or not?
What does it say on the logbook of the members that have H120s??

Yup your definitely right, no-one in their right mind would pay £650 for that especially with those lousy pictures – mind someone has offered £500 which is barmy!
Best Regards

He's even copied the original seller's description. Expect to see the engine and gearbox being sold separately on the bay soon.... but at £350 for a rough looking block with a head (no carbs or manifolds), I think he'll struggle.
