@ janmarine, well, I haven't seen a single Rootes group car here in Budapest since arriving a year ago. I owned an "H120" lookey-likey for over 20 years so I dare say I've a little experience of them. Now though I drive one of my dream cars, a BMW 850Ci - it's slightly better than the Rapier but in totally different ways. I still like the Rapier though, a great car and I loved mine, I was pleased to see it go to a very good home where I know it weill be well looked after and loved as much I loved it.

Hi argonaut - cmon, get yourself another H120 or similar ? Life is short man !
Are there many Sunbeams/Rootes , fans and activity around your area ?

Looks nice, fun car.
On the flames subject, I once bought an H120 bootlid that not only had flames painted on it, it had a whole picture of a burning city! Really quite impressive and a right b%67tard to remove it was too! I also bought a front wing from the same source - that had lovely flames painted on it too but in such thick paint it had preserved the wing nicely and prevented the usual rot spots.

yep..the flames would be too much, I got carried away a bit there.
I would love to see a series 3 and H120 that went through the hands of those guys on the tv program 'overhauling' ..
