Which begs the question, how long has he been terminally ill for?

Here it is
Yes, some poor work on sills & it looks very scabby underneath, but hope there is sufficient metal there to do something with it. quite a few poorly welded patches in floor too. Interior pretty good though & the mice did not get into it. Will have a better look when I go up to Banbury, where it is stored, in May.

This one looks pretty sound if the front wings are anything to go by. What's the back end like Glen?

Yes, because it was stored in a council garage for 20 years that had an asbestos roof: Dudley Council insisted the car could not be recovered and had to be sent for destruction
Hoping that Classic Car Buyer will run a little feature to highlight the idiocy of that thinking. Just waiting on some photos of the ex. members car & then, hopefully, it will get into print. electricnick & I did save this one that had also been stored in similar conditions.

Asbestos contamination? funny one that. Lots of ex stock asbestos brake pads on ebay and any pre 2005 car (prior to the ban) can have asbestos components so I cant understand where the 'contamination' side of things comes from. All cars (certainly over 15 - 20 years old have asbestos in them.
It would be hard to argue (rationally) that something that contained asbestos in its construction (as per norm) was then dangerous because it potentially contained an additional amount of asbestos.
An additional amount of asbestos could be a spare set of brake shoes in the boot? Would that make a car contaminated? Also, would crushing contain any contamination?
As mentioned, sounds very uninformed to me.

I don't think it's possible to get any more rotten than that is it? Not sure if it restorable says the seller, um that we be a no then!

Funny: I did a search just before tea and no Rapier's - well just that Series II Rally Car that is shot to bits. This one is even worse, not a Holbay of course, but that's in a pretty bad way. I've never seen a bonnet rust like that before & the interior - yuck! And to think a perfectly good one went to the crusher due to supposed asbestos contamination! There's no justice. G

I don't believe they ever made an auto H120 so is more likely to be a conversion if it has a Holbay under the bonnet. Boot lid looks H120 from what I can see of it. Hey Moosey..... I've got a good shell here for you if you fancy a stab at this one.
